Ukwuoma Ikechukwu Stanley is a potter/ceramist, ceramic Technician, and entrepreneur. He was born in Imo State, Nigeria in the year 1989.
BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION
Ukwuoma attended his primary and secondary school in Umuekwune Ngor-Okpala in Imo state Nigeria. He has been drawing and painting right from his childhood, he did all sorts of craft paper works that moved his parents to enroll him further in technical college Lagos where he obtained his NABTEB certificate in Graphics 2008.
His interest in ceramics began in 2015 after his graduation from the national diploma course. He later graduated from Yaba College of Technology in 2018 where he obtained his Higher National Diploma certificate in Ceramics

HIS WORKS AND EXHIBITIONS
He has carried out so many commissions to his credit among which is the mural using fired clay as a medium and building kilns/ fabricating ceramic equipment. Some of his works are inspired by nature, he loves working with his natural red clay. He is inspired by both the strength and vulnerability of clay, how it requires either a force or gentleness of hand at various stages. Utilizing a variety of wheel-thrown and hand-building techniques, he enjoys altering his red earthenware forms to create shapes that convey movement and softness. He also found it interesting to fabricate ceramic equipment, he believes that fabricating this equipment is also part of his art

Ukwuoma believes that being an artist is more than just creating art but also being able to create something that will last for generations. This is why he is also called a “plotter”
In addition to being an artist, he is also a certified instructor who teaches at various art workshops all-across Nigeria. He was a ceramic instructor in Young @ Art in 2017, and Summer Art Workshop in 2019. Ukwuoma Ikechukwu Stanley has participated in the last ceramic exhibition in 2021 titled ” beyond the limit” where he exhibited three of his current artworks. He has also participated in another ceramic exhibition, both indoor and outdoor.
In 2020, he founded his own company called “Golden Pottery NIG” which specializes in ceramic artwork and provides services such as glazing, firing, and finishing services all over Nigeria.
